Lewes Bonfire March

05-11-2019 6:00 pm -10:30 pm
Lewes
Free
Lewes Bonfire March This is the place to be to celebrate bonfire night! If you want to see the biggest bonfire spectacular in the UK here's where it's at. Big, loud and noisy - absolutely. There are no less than 7 separate firework displays hosted by each Bonfire Society within Lewes and the marching includes a whole host of bands, drummers and dancers! The effigies each year are a closely guarded secret and sail ever closer to the political satire wind, but are definitely a sight to behold!

We love playing in this march, despite the hills we have to play up, and it is a must do for everyone! Arrange travel into Lewes early though - the roads close into the town from 16:30 and don't reopen until the early hours and public transport stops early on in the day. If you've been before, bring your friends this year; and if you've never been - you must come!
