Wrapping Up a Cracking Summer: Catch Heathfield Silver Band Live This September!
What a summer it’s been! We’ve just wrapped up a brilliant season of music, having played at Bateman’s National Trust and the Le Marché festival in Heathfield over the bank holiday weekend. A big thank you to everyone who came along, soaked up the atmosphere, and cheered us on.
We’re not packing up our instruments just yet, though! As autumn rolls in, Heathfield Silver Band is gearing up for two more delightful September engagements—and we’d love to see you there.
Burwash Common Fete & Dog Show
When: Saturday 12th September 2.00pm – 4.00pm (with a short interval)
Where: Burwash Common Pavilion Grounds
Always a high point on the local calendar! The Burwash Common Fete and Dog Show is proper community fun for all ages, featuring a wonderful mix of traditional stalls, sideshows, games, challenges, and the famous egg-throwing competition. While you’re there, do pop into the Pavilion for a proper afternoon tea. Take it from us—the tea and homemade cakes come very highly recommended! We’ll be providing the live backdrop to keep things cheery all afternoon.
Autumn Concert at the Coronation Bandstand
When: Saturday 19th September 1.40pm
Where: The Coronation Bandstand, Bexhill-on-Sea
Join us by the seaside for a special Autumn Concert hosted by Bexhill Heritage. We’ll be performing a lively selection of bandstand favourites, alongside a piece or two by Gustav Holst to mark the 152nd anniversary of the composer’s birth. Grab a deckchair, enjoy the sea air, and settle in for an afternoon of top-notch music.
Whether you’re coming for the dog show, a slice of cake, or a bit of Holst, we look forward to seeing you.
